Borg is an innovative and progressive multi-disciplined company specialising in manufacturing design, automation and systems integration.

We are currently seeking a skilled Waterjet Cutter Operator to join our Engineering and Fabrication team working on the manufacture of large plate steel structures for a future wood processing mill at our Construction Site in Mount Gambier.

The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Waterjet Cutter Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will have a background in a metal working / manufacturing environment and be comfortable learning new skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Program and operate machine to cut to plan specifications.
  • Undertake pre and post checks to ensure the water jet cutter is properly maintained.
  • Nesting plates into the nesting software provided
  • Operate forklift (LF) and overhead cranes to move materials as needed.
  • Work with the team to ensure that work is completed in line with schedules.
  • Assist with welding and other tasks within the business as needed.
  • Rolling cut plates to required specifications
  • Maintain housekeeping standards, tools and equipment
