Job Overview

We are currently seeking Waterjet Cutter Operators / Trade Assistants to join Engineering and Fabrication team working on the manufacture of large plate steel structures for the future wood processing mill at our Construction Site in Mount Gambier.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program and operate machine to cut to plan specifications.
  • Undertake pre and post checks to ensure the water jet cutter is properly maintained.
  • Nest plates into the nesting software provided.
  • Operate forklift (LF) and overhead cranes to move materials as needed.
  • Work with the team to ensure that work is completed in line with schedules.
  • Assist with welding and other tasks within the business as needed.
  • Rolling cut plates to required specifications.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards, tools and equipment.

• Background in a metal working / manufacturing environment

• Strong attention to detail in all work

• Ability to learn new skills

• Genuine team player
