Metal Fabrication Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Waterjet Cutter Operator to join our Engineering and Fabrication team in Mount Gambier. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating a waterjet cutter to cut plate steel structures for a future wood processing mill.
Key Responsibilities
- Program and operate the waterjet cutter to cut to plan specifications.
- Undertake pre and post checks to ensure the waterjet cutter is properly maintained.
- Nest plates into the nesting software provided.
- Operate a forklift and overhead cranes to move materials as needed.
- Work with the team to ensure that work is completed in line with schedules.
- Assist with welding and other tasks within the business as needed.
- Roll cut plates to required specifications.
- Maintain housekeeping standards, tools, and equipment.
