Captive Insurance Manager

AIG is seeking a highly skilled Captive Insurance Manager to play a key role in protecting our clients and growing our business. As a Captive Insurance Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of captive insurance companies, coordinating all captive operations, and leading relationships and communication with captive owners, service providers, and regulators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of captive insurance companies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and preparing financial statements.
  • Lead relationship and communication with captive owners, service providers, and regulators, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow our business and protect our clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Professional accounting designation (CA, CPA, ACCA, or similar) is preferred but not required.
  • Related technical certification (ARe, AINS, or similar) or minimum of 3 years' experience in insurance/reinsurance management and financial reporting is preferred.
  • Excellent insurance accounting technical skills and experience in preparing financial statements under GAAP/IFRS and domicile statutory reporting requirements.
  • Excellent communicator, both verbally and written.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet multiple client reporting deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both in a team environment and independently in order to meet departmental client service objectives.
  • Proficient in use of IT applications such as Excel, Word, Adobe-Pro, and Outlook in a Windows 10 environment.
  • Sound problem-solving skills and flexibility to assume ad hoc projects as arising.
