We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Maintenance Officer to join our team at the Parliament of Australia. As a key member of our Mechanical Services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and providing exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake all work requiring the application of trade skills relating to the operation and maintenance of buildings, plant, equipment, and fixtures & fittings.
- Assist in the guidance and direction of staff to effectively complete planned and emergency work.
- Report and record completed tasks and additional required maintenance to management and through using the computerised Maintenance Management system.
- Ensure the highest standards of safety in all areas of operation in accordance with WHS policy.
- Participate in approved formal and on the job training programs.
- Other duties as required, such as working at height, first aid, confined space entry and rescue, climbing ladders, elevated platform access, lifting and other activities requiring a suitable level of physical fitness.
- Trade qualification in HVAC (air conditioning/refrigeration) is essential.
- A minimum disconnect/reconnect electrical qualification is essential.
- Ability to work alone or part of a team.
- Ability to be on-call (rotating roster) and flexible in start/finish times.
- At times, you will be required to mentor apprentices.
- The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (Protected/Restricted) security clearance.

Currently, the salary range for this position is $66,506 - $76,196 per annum. Plus an additional 17% allowance entitlement.
