Job Title: Business Solutions Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Business Solutions Analyst to join our team. As a Business Solutions Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering customer requirements, evaluating and translating them into technical specifications, and collaborating with development teams to specify and design new platform features.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Gather customer requirements using appropriate tools and techniques.
  2. Evaluate requirements from multiple sources, resolve conflicts, deconstruct complex information, and distinguish user requests from underlying needs.
  3. Translate requirements into technical and functional specifications; prepare documentation for business processes and product configuration.
  4. Design and implement insurance products and claims data models based on customer requirements.
  5. Use platform tools to build user interfaces and journeys for insurance products.
  6. Implement business rules and financial calculations using scripting languages within the platform.
  7. Analyze data conversion needs and define data transformation and mapping.
  8. Facilitate stakeholder discussions, prepare presentations, and interpret project data visually and in writing.
  9. Produce, manage, and update client-facing documentation and system/business process documents.
  10. Manage customer inquiries and coordinate project delivery with internal teams and third parties.
  11. Handle project scope, plan, and cost changes; identify risks and mitigation strategies.
  12. Create and maintain project documentation including change requests and risk registers.
  13. Collaborate with development teams to specify and design new platform features.
  14. Understand the full software development lifecycle.
  15. Have experience as a business analyst or technical business analyst.
  16. Proficient in creating various documentation such as business requirements, process maps, and technical specifications.
  17. Experience with both waterfall and agile methodologies.
  18. Experience configuring large or complex software packages.
  19. Understanding of relational databases.
  20. Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
  21. Experience in insurance policy and claims functions (highly desirable).
  22. Degree qualified or equivalent experience.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Solid understanding of business analysis principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Experience with insurance industry regulations and compliance.
  • Familiarity with agile project management methodologies.
