Youth Mental Health Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Youth Mental Health Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team in the headspace centres at Bondi Junction, Hurstville, and Miranda.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality assessments, evidence-based intervention services, and care coordination for young people (12-25 years) with complex mental health needs.
- Work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including young people, families, and carers, as well as other healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative and best practice care models within the Youth Mental Health Team.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain expertise in youth mental health and develop skills in areas such as therapeutic engagement, family work, and leadership.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award, or equivalent qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by SESLHD.
- Postgraduate clinical experience in youth mental health, providing comprehensive mental health assessments, evidence-based interventions, and highly developed skills in engagement and maintaining a therapeutic alliance with young people with severe and complex needs.
- Excellent negotiation, decision-making, and advocacy skills, including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders throughout all organisational levels.
- Demonstrated ability to provide high-level clinical advice, education, and support to others in providing service excellence.
