About the Position

The City of Cockburn is seeking a highly skilled Development Engineer to join its team. The successful candidate will be involved in an interesting variety of challenging work, including residential, commercial, and industrial development assessment.

This role involves the assessment of a range of engineering matters submitted to the City by developers, including traffic management plans, civil subdivision drawings, and stormwater management plans. The position also includes assessment from a civil/traffic perspective on various planning applications, such as scheme amendments, structure plans, and development applications.

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Development Engineer who possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The successful applicant will have tertiary qualifications in Civil/Traffic engineering and experience in preparing and reviewing engineering matters, including transport impact assessments and traffic management plans.

The ideal candidate will also have excellent liaison and negotiation skills, preferably demonstrated with government agencies and consultants. A salary package of $116,995-$123,944 per annum (plus super), depending on relevant qualifications and experience, is on offer, along with commuting use of a vehicle negotiable to the right applicant.
