Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals and develop their skills and confidence. You will work in a dynamic and supportive environment, collaborating with our team to deliver tailored support services that make a real difference in the lives of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing daily living support to individuals with disabilities, including:

  • Assisting with daily living activities and day-to-day support to meet individual goals and objectives.
  • Supporting individuals to access community events, services, and social outings, and providing transport as needed.
  • Maintaining accurate records, including progress notes and incident reports.
  • Providing support in a manner that is consistent, encouraging, and motivating, and promoting person-centred practices.
  • Promoting a stimulating, caring, and culturally appropriate environment for individuals.
  • Providing self-care, social, and emotional support as required.
  • Maintaining professional boundaries and communicating effectively with stakeholders.

Requirements

This position is ideal for candidates with:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with individuals and team members.
  • A passion and enthusiasm for care and support work in the disability sector.
  • An ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Essential Qualifications and Certifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Certificate III Individual Support or equivalent.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Working with Children Check.
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
  • Covid Infection Control Certificate.
  • NSW Drivers Licence.
  • Reliable and comprehensively insured vehicle.
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificates.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000-$75,000, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including opportunities for professional development and a supportive work environment.
