We provide tailored support to individuals with disabilities, promoting independence, and enabling them to participate fully in their communities.

The Role

We are seeking talented, reliable, and passionate support workers to join our team. As a Support Worker you will be responsible for:

  • Providing daily living assistance and support to meet individual goals, including general housework, personal hygiene, cooking, and other tasks.
  • Supporting participants to access community events or services, social outings, and transport.
  • Maintaining accurate records, including submitting progress notes and incident reports as necessary.
  • Delivering person-centered practices that encourage and motivate participants to achieve their goals and build independent skills.
  • Promoting a stimulating, caring, and culturally appropriate environment for participants.
  • Providing self-care, social, and emotional support as required.
  • Maintaining professional boundaries throughout the course of all support provided.
  • Ensuring effective communication with stakeholders, including team leaders, peers, and management.

We have positions available for community access and in-home support, as well as roles in Supported Independent Living Homes.

This role is ideal for candidates with:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with participants and team members.
  • A passion and enthusiasm for care and support work in the disability sector.
  • An ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

The successful candidate will also possess:

  • Certificate III Individual Support or equivalent (preferred).
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Working with Children Check.
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module (or willing to obtain).
  • Covid Infection Control Certificate (completed previously or willing to obtain).
  • NSW Drivers Licence.
  • Reliable and comprehensively insured vehicle.
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificates.

In addition, our ideal candidate will also:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Medication management training.
  • Experience managing challenging behaviours.
  • Experience with PBSPs and restrictive practices.
  • Manual handling experience, including hoisting.
  • Willingness to undertake cleaning services.

Estimated salary: AU$70,000 - AU$90,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
