Support Worker Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live their lives to the fullest.

The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing high-quality support and making a real difference in people's lives. You will work closely with our customers to understand their needs and preferences, and provide tailored support to help them achieve their goals.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing person-centred support to customers with disabilities
  • Assisting with daily living skills such as meal preparation, housekeeping, health and hygiene, and medication administration
  • Ensuring positive behaviour support plans are followed
  • Completing mandatory daily reports and other administrative tasks

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Cert III in Individual Support (CHC33015 or CHC33021)
  • Experience working with dementia and high behaviours
  • A passion for providing excellent customer service and making a positive impact on people's lives
  • Previous experience or willingness to train in manual handling and medication administration
  • Proven administration and computer literacy skills
