Cafe Manager Job Description

Are you a motivated and experienced leader looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a Cafe Manager to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of cafe or restaurant leadership experience and a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.

  • Lead a high-performing team: Recruit, train, motivate, and coach your crew to deliver outstanding results.
  • Operate with efficiency: Oversee daily operations, maintain high standards, and ensure smooth processes.
  • Schedule and plan: Create rosters, assign duties, and ensure coverage during busy periods.
  • Manage inventory: Control stock levels, ordering, and rotation to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
  • Monitor finances: Keep track of food costs, control expenses, and achieve targets.
  • Ensure compliance: Perform opening and closing duties, maintain safety standards, and act as the first aid officer when needed.
  • Collaborate with the team: Be an integral part of the leadership team.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in cafe or restaurant management.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to a dynamic environment.
  • Passion for creating memorable customer experiences and ensuring a safe, clean space.
  • A people person—warm, genuine, and dedicated to mentoring others.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to confidently interact at all levels.
  • Driven, proactive, and a natural problem-solver.
  • Understanding of operational decisions and their impact.
  • Ability to obtain necessary certifications (if required).
