Facilities Maintenance Professional

This role involves providing maintenance services to the Youth Justice Precinct at Cherry Creek. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all works comply with relevant building codes and standards.

About the Role

This is a fixed term, full-time position based at Cherry Creek, Melbourne. The successful candidate will work as part of a team to provide high level services such as carpentry, welding, and the installation and general maintenance of fittings, glazing, locks, etc. and amenities within the infrastructure.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including tradespeople and suppliers
  • Process the receipt of goods deliveries accurately
  • Ensure all works comply with the Building Code of Australia (BCA) and other Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) and building regulations and standards as required
  • Take initiative to recommend process and system improvements to be applied for the local work area
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have experience in building inspecting, problem resolution, cost estimation and maintenance repairs for general building and construction works within commercial parameters or custodial environment. You will also be required to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) to be maintained by the employee for the period of employment.
