Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Educator to fill the role of Assistant Director at our Centre. This is a key position that requires strong leadership skills and the ability to provide support to the team in the day-to-day operations and successful running of the Centre.

The ideal candidate will have a Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent, and proven experience in developing and delivering high-quality educational programs. They will also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as highly organized time management skills.

About the Role

- Provide leadership support to the Centre Director in the day-to-day operations of the Centre
- Develop and deliver high-quality educational programs that meet the needs of children and families
- Work closely with the Centre Director and other staff members to ensure the smooth running of the Centre
- Participate in mentoring and developing the broader team
- Be available to work part-time or full-time hours each week, on rotating shifts between 6.30 am and 6:30 pm

Essential Qualifications/Experience/Skills

  • Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent, or Early Childhood Teaching qualification
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma certificates
  • State relevant Working with Children Check, Blue Card, or Safety Screening
  • Current Child Protection Training
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with proven experience juggling a wide range of demands and priorities, and managing time effectively

Desirable

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Director or Lead Educator
  • Knowledge and experience with Qikkids and Story Park (or similar platforms)
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Facebook
