Systems Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Engineer to join our dynamic Information Technology team at InvoCare. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing, managing, operating, securing, and monitoring our Data Centre and Cloud Services.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Development: Develop and deliver high-quality, secure infrastructure and software solutions to support our business operations.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate with various teams to design, build, and maintain Data Centre and cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and correct issues related to Microsoft and associated technologies, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum uptime of applications and platforms.
- Monitoring and Analysis: Conduct rigorous monitoring, review, and analysis to maintain system efficiency, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Compliance and Governance: Maintain a controlled testing environment and ensure compliance with change and release management, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
- Process Improvement: Continuously improve standards, processes, and tools for automation, scaling, and recovery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry trends.
- Documentation and Communication: Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and documentation for the systems environment, ensuring clear communication and knowledge sharing among team members.
- Asset Management: Manage SOE capabilities for asset management, security, patch management, and software updates, ensuring optimal utilization and minimizing risks.
- Automation and Efficiency: Automate team tasks using zero-touch tools and processes, enhancing productivity and reducing manual errors.
- Infrastructure Support: Support and enhance core infrastructure for EUC services, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience with Data Centre, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and emerging technologies.
- Enterprise Environment: 3+ years of experience managing EUC & SOE in an enterprise environment.
- Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of SQL Server, IIS, Active Directory, and key server technologies.
- Network Protocols: Strong understanding of network protocols including TCP/IP, SDWAN, and wide area network technologies.
- ITIL: Experience with ITIL in a hybrid cloud environment.
- Architecture and Design: Proven architecture and design experience within Data Centre and Cloud technologies.
- Cloud Domains: Expertise in public and private cloud domains, including engineering and operational management.
- Customer Service: Strong customer service focus and exceptional communication skills.
- Scripting Languages: Working knowledge of scripting languages.
- Education: Tertiary qualifications in Business Technology or related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Professional Qualifications: Highly regarded, but not essential, professional qualifications in Azure, DevOps, Project Management, or Network fields.
