**Cost Control Specialist Role Summary:**

We are seeking a seasoned Cost Controller to join our project team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional who can provide timely and accurate cost analysis and reporting, including productivity and other measures, to support informed decisions on matters affecting cost outcomes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of detailed financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to ensure data-driven decision making.
  • Collaborate closely with procurement, contracts & commercial teams to monitor budgets, commitments, expenditures & forecasts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Liaise with planning to integrate cost with physical progress & productivity metrics, driving business efficiency.
  • Maintain up-to-date resource requirements, Project Authorization Forms (PAFs), and rates to ensure optimal project delivery.
  • Support the provision of accurate cost control information, including detailed analysis of budget, commitments, expenditure, VOWD, forecasting, and change control to inform strategic decisions.
  • Monitor and track project costs, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and minimizing financial risks.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers and stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities, drive business value, and enhance overall project performance.

This role requires prior experience in cost control and analysis within a project delivery environment, tertiary qualifications in project controls, quantity surveying, commercial or a related field, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, basic knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (Oracle and/or SAP) and project control software, excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
