Job Overview

This is a dynamic and challenging role as a Cost Analyst, where you will be responsible for analyzing and managing costs to drive business value.

As a Cost Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the financial management of projects by ensuring accurate cost reporting, identifying areas of cost optimization, and developing strategies to mitigate risks.

  • Monthly SAP Reconciliation: You will be responsible for reconciling costs between the cost system and SAP, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data.
  • Indirect Cost Reconciliation: You will reconcile indirect costs such as flights, accommodation, and timesheets to ensure accurate costing.
  • Coding and Classification: You will ensure correct facility and commodity coding to ensure accurate cost allocation.
  • Capital Appropriation Requests: You will raise capital appropriation requests (CAR) to ensure timely and accurate funding.
  • Risk Management: You will support risk management by providing cost data to inform decision-making.

Requirements:

Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience: You should have experience working on large mining projects with multiple projects at one time.
  • Cost Systems: You should have advanced level skills in a recognized cost system software.
  • Excel Skills: You should have good level Excel spreadsheet skills to verify and cross-check data accuracy across systems.
  • Reporting: You should be able to run reports for extraction of information from SAP.
  • Team Player: You should be a team player to work closely with project members cutting across levels.
  • Project Controls Delivery: You should have 5+ years of experience in project controls delivery.
