Intake Care Leader

We're seeking an experienced and empathetic Senior Intake Coordinator to lead our team in delivering exceptional care to patients, families, and referrers.
About the Role- As a Senior Intake Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for patients, families, and referrers, providing reassurance and guidance throughout the care journey.
- You'll lead the intake team to ensure warm, clinically sound support across referrals, admissions, and waitlist management.
- Conduct mental health assessments to ensure patients are safely and appropriately matched to care.
- Build nurturing partnerships with patients, families, and carers, guiding them through complex funding, consent, and admission steps.
- Liaise with healthcare professionals to ensure timely and transparent communication and professional partnerships.
- Maintain compliance with standards and regulations while embedding a culture of care, equity, and continuous improvement.
- Current registration as a mental health clinician (psychiatry, psychology, nursing, social work, or occupational therapy).
- Experience in intake, triage, or admissions within a hospital or mental health setting.
- Leadership capability – able to coach, mentor, and build a high-functioning team.
- Clinician-led, patient-centred care.
