Are you a motivated leader with a passion for culinary excellence? We're seeking an Executive Sous Chef to join our team at The Star Sydney.

The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in culinary management, with a proven track record of strategic planning, resource management, and cost control. You will be responsible for overseeing food preparation across our properties' Food & Beverage outlets, ensuring quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a diverse team of culinary professionals and inspiring them to deliver exceptional results
  • Developing and implementing operating techniques to maximize efficiency and meet budgetary requirements
  • Monitoring and overseeing the quality/consistency of food to exceed customers' requirements
  • Providing direction and support to the team, including recruitment, training, and performance management

To be successful in this role, you will need to be an inspirational leader, innovative, motivating, and an experienced mentor. You will also need to have:

  • Previous experience at an Executive Sous Chef or Chef De Cuisine level within a large team
  • Proven ability to drive financial results with a customer-led focus
  • Strong and effective communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
