Job Summary

We are seeking a Production Superintendent to provide leadership and guidance to a team of supervisors and technical specialists in executing the mine plan. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and optimal outcomes for the production team, while also managing compliance with operating standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of supervisors and technical specialists
  • Ensure safe and optimal outcomes for the production team
  • Manage compliance with operating standards and procedures
  • Contribute to the preparation of the inputs to form the production plan and budget
  • Endorse and lead the execution of Production Execution improvement initiatives
  • Build cross-functional relationships with the Operational sub-functions to support the delivery of production
  • Develop capacity to investigate reported events which fall below the Business risk threshold
About You

We are looking for a strong leader with extensive operations experience in similar roles. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to build relationships across departments and communicate with disciplines at all levels.

The successful candidate will also have:

  • Demonstrated ability managing multiple conflicting priorities and strong decision-making skills
  • Collaborative relationship building and negotiation skills
  • Sound computer literacy with exposure to interpreting shift metrics to drive optimal production behaviours
  • Ability to support and grow a culture of diversity within the team
  • Demonstrated experience in risk and change management
  • Motivation as a performance and achievement orientated professional
