About the Role

We are seeking a Production Engineer to join our team at Broadmeadow Mine, a longwall underground coal operation in Queensland's Bowen Basin. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for analysing data, developing solutions to problems, and managing improvement projects to support the growth of our mine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with production teams to oversee performance and manage the pipeline of improvement initiatives
  • Analyse performance data and provide performance reporting to support informed decision-making
  • Liaise with frontline teams to ensure that new ideas are developed and practically implemented
  • Use data analysis skills to provide time usage assumptions for short-range forecast and two-year budget processes
  • Identify opportunities to update or develop standardised work procedures for core processes within production departments
  • Support production superintendents to manage department budget compliance and forecasting

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in finance, engineering, or an aligned discipline are advantageous
  • Experience with underground mining is preferable
  • Experience with continuous improvement projects and sound financial and commercial acumen are essential
  • The ability to analyse data and provide insights and solutions to impacts on performance is critical
  • Familiarity with production delay accounting systems such as Corvus or Ampla would be advantageous
