Key Responsibilities:- Deliver daily animal husbandry with care and attention, ensuring the health and welfare of genetically modified mice.
- Support researchers and students by delivering reliable technical assistance in line with procedures and standards.
- Keep our facilities safe, clean, and fully operational through effective maintenance, sterilisation, and waste management.
- Contribute to a positive safety culture by enhancing standard operating procedures, reporting hazards, and ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety standards.
As a team player who can work independently, you take pride in supporting others and understand the importance of safety, precision, and care in a research environment.
- Experience in animal facilities or research laboratories, with knowledge of relevant equipment and a basic understanding of animal ethics and research processes.
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- It is recommended that you do not have pets, including mice, rats, snakes, or guinea pigs.
