Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the supply chain function, you will play a crucial role in shaping our procurement strategy.

Your primary responsibility will be to manage procurement activities, develop sourcing strategies, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality Engineering Steel products that meet our operational standards.

This is a challenging role that requires strong market awareness, negotiation skills, and the ability to influence purchasing decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for Engineering Steels
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels and support sales forecasting
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage international supplier relationships
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts
  • Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, and supply risks
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Finance, Shipping, Warehouse, etc.)
  • Report on procurement performance, supplier metrics, and cost savings
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3-5 years experience in procurement or purchasing
  • Engineering Steels industry experience
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management and sourcing practices and processes
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and divisions
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and adapt to changing market conditions
