Job Opportunity: Pregnancy Family Conferencing Coordinator

Organisation is seeking an experienced and skilled individual to fill the position of Pregnancy Family Conferencing Coordinator. This role will play a crucial part in promoting early engagement and interagency planning with pregnant women and families at risk of their newborns entering out-of-home care at birth.

The successful applicant will work closely with various stakeholders, including health professionals and departmental staff, to develop and maintain strong interagency partnerships. This will involve coordinating program cases, developing and maintaining a group of skilled facilitators, and undertaking the facilitation role as required.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in counselling or a related field, or a degree in social work from an accredited course. They should have demonstrated understanding and/or experience in working within an interagency context, including networking and partnerships with government and non-government agencies.

Additionally, the successful applicant will require:

  • Demonstrated experience and/or knowledge in providing child-centred, family-focused, and person-centred care.
  • Facilitating respectful and culturally safe access to services for improving the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal families.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of trauma-informed practices.
  • Demonstrated understanding of child protection; management of child protection cases; provision of child protection consultation to clinicians/caseworkers.
  • Proven ability to lead; initiate innovative problem-solving, and work collaboratively with other professionals across agencies.
  • Demonstrated high-level written and verbal communication skills.
  • Project management experience.

This is a Category 'A' position, requiring the ability and willingness to travel as the role demands.
