PhD Researcher: Developing Semi-Transparent Electrodes for Building-Integrated Photovoltaics

The Opportunity
Monash University is offering a PhD scholarship under the CSIRO's Industry PhD (iPhD) Program. This project aims to develop semi-transparent electrodes for integration of solar cells into building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) products, glazing, roofing, and cladding. The expected outcome is for new materials and processes for low-cost semi-transparent electrodes to be developed.
Candidate Requirements
The student must:
- Be able to demonstrate and present valid and current Australian work rights
- Meet participating university PhD admission requirements
- Meet university English language requirements
- Not have previously completed a PhD
- Be able to commence the Program in the year of the offer
- Enrol as a full-time PhD student
- Be prepared to be located at the project location(s) that the host university has approved and, if required, comply with the host university's external enrolment procedures
The scholarship package includes a four-year scholarship of $47,000 annually. To be eligible, you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident.
