About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Fellow to join our team at La Trobe University. The successful candidate will work as part of the Ngura Ninti project, a four-volume collection of key documents that will tell the story of Australian history from an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspective.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct archival research and consultation with Indigenous communities
  • Work collaboratively with a large group of Indigenous and non-Indigenous regional editors
  • Contribute to the development of a decolonized research approach in higher education
Requirements
  • MA or PhD in a relevant field or equivalent qualifications
  • Experience in decolonized research, historical research, or working with Indigenous people
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
