Role Overview

The Financial Controller - Commercial will be responsible for leading the financial management of commercial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic financial advice to the Commercial Directors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial plans and strategies to support commercial growth and profitability.
  • Provide financial expertise and guidance to commercial teams, ensuring alignment with corporate requirements and achieving adequate margins.
  • Evaluate and recommend business opportunities, such as new product launches, service centre expansions, and acquisitions.
  • Manage the preparation of major contract and service reports, enabling informed decisions on timely and accurate profit take-up in the monthly accounts.
  • Lead core FP&A processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial reporting, to support informed business decisions.
  • Analyse and interpret financial information, identifying trends and areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in a similar role, including extensive FP&A experience, sales incentive reporting, change management, and leadership.
  • Strong understanding of financial control, reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead and develop finance teams.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and critical analysis skills.
