About the Role

The Senior Policy Officer undertakes a key role in delivering the Residential Efficiency Scorecard, a national program to enhance the energy performance of existing homes through a star rating. This position involves leading activities including project design and delivery that support program uptake nationally as well as managing relationships with stakeholders.

The Senior Policy Officer is responsible for understanding, engaging with, and communicating the benefits of the Residential Efficiency Scorecard to various audiences. They may also be required to represent the department in meetings and forums.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver projects that support the uptake of the Residential Efficiency Scorecard nationally.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, including those with jurisdictional and external entities.
  • Communicate the benefits of the Residential Efficiency Scorecard to diverse audiences.
  • Represent the department in meetings and forums as necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • An appropriate tertiary qualification or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in residential energy efficiency or a related field is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in program delivery, including project management, quality assurance, and stakeholder management, is desirable.

Benefits and Opportunities

This fixed term position is available until 30 June 2026. The work location is flexible within Victoria, with hybrid work arrangements available.
