Key Responsibilities:
  1. Spacecraft System Requirements and Architecture Definition: Develop and manage spacecraft system requirements and architectures, ensuring they meet mission objectives, standards, and cost constraints.
  2. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with systems engineers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, software engineers, and other teams to develop system requirements and architectures.
  3. Design Solutions: Design solutions that meet mission objectives, standards, and cost constraints, considering trade-offs and supplier interactions.
  4. System Specifications and Artifacts: Develop and review system specifications, interface control documents, and other system engineering artifacts.
  5. Subsystems Trade-Offs and Supplier Contact: Conduct subsystem trade-offs and interact with suppliers to ensure successful system performance.
Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Spacecraft Technology Knowledge: Familiarity with spacecraft technology and at least one spacecraft subsystem, such as power, propulsion, communication, thermal, and attitude control.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Industry Experience: Experience in the aerospace or automotive industry.
  2. System Engineering Practices: Experience in system engineering practices, including requirements definition, system design, integration, testing, and operations.
  3. Engineering Tools and Software: Proficiency in engineering tools and software used in spacecraft system design, analysis, and simulation.
  4. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  5. Communication and Teamwork: Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  6. Dynamic Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
  7. Space Mission Concepts: Familiarity with space mission concepts, spacecraft mission phases, and mission life cycles.
  8. Space Industry Standards: Knowledge of space industry standards, including ECSS.
  9. SCRUM Methodology: Knowledge of SCRUM methodology.
