Position Overview
As a Spacecraft Systems Architect, you will be instrumental in the conception, evolution, and functionality of the Motus spacecraft system. Your role encompasses the comprehensive management of the spacecraft's life cycle, starting from the foundational concept and requirements gathering through to integration, testing, and operational phases. Your technical acumen will be vital in guaranteeing the successful operation and efficiency of various spacecraft systems, including Electrical Power Systems (EPS), communication, structural integrity, thermal management, and Attitude Determination and Control Systems (ADCS).

Liftero is pioneering advancements in the Industry 4.0 landscape, focusing on innovative in-space transportation solutions. We envision the space ecosystem as the next great frontier for humanity, filled with untapped potential. In our quest to establish and manage in-space transportation frameworks, we are creating the reusable orbital transfer vehicle, Motus, which serves as a crucial component akin to a truck for terrestrial transport or an aircraft for aerial logistics in the cosmos. While our aspirations are lofty, we maintain a grounded approach to our workforce, recognizing that reaching for the stars is achievable only through a motivated and committed team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Define and manage spacecraft system requirements and architecture.
  2. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including systems, mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, to formulate system requirements and architectures.
  3. Devise solutions that align with mission goals, regulatory standards, and budgetary constraints.
  4. Draft and evaluate system specifications, interface control documents, and other engineering documentation.
  5. Conduct subsystem trade-offs and liaise with suppliers.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  2. Familiarity with spacecraft technologies and at least one spacecraft subsystem, such as power, propulsion, communication, thermal, or attitude control.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience within the aerospace or automotive sectors.
  2. Background in system engineering methodologies, including requirements definition, system design, integration, testing, and operational processes.
  3. Proficiency in engineering tools and software pertinent to spacecraft system design, analysis, and simulation.
  4. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  5. Effective communication and collaborative skills, with the ability to work cohesively in cross-functional teams.
  6. Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.
  7. Understanding of space mission concepts, spacecraft mission phases, and mission life cycles.
  8. Awareness of space industry standards, including ECSS.
  9. Familiarity with SCRUM methodology.
