Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional with experience in commercial management to join our team. Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units: our technical, advisory, and capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence. We are looking for individuals with Defence or Defence industry experience to support complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia's future.

We're interested in hearing from professionals with experience aligned to the following roles: Commercial Management, Contract Management, Procurement Management, Tenders and Contracting Management.

Key Responsibilities

Previous experience ideally within the Defence or consulting services industries.

  • Proven experience working in Land, Communications, Navy, Space or other Defence sectors
  • Experience with leading and driving acquisition or sustainment through commercial, procurement and contract management in Defence
  • Familiarity with ASDEFCON, Defence Procurement, Commonwealth Procurement or other related Defence frameworks and compliances
  • Able to work in a collaborative team environment and stakeholder management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail

Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
