Director of Indigenous Healthcare Services

Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our First Nations Health team as a Director/Program Manager or Senior Project Officer.
About the Role:
- Develop options for guidance and standards on cultural safety, and support translation and implementation into practice.
- Collaborate closely with the Commission's National Standards team, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Advisory Group, and First Nations stakeholders and communities.
- Have knowledge of the Australian healthcare system and an understanding of issues regarding safety and quality in health care, including those related to First Nations peoples and their communities.
- Exposure to supporting or leading projects is essential.
Requirements:
- Australian Citizenship is mandatory.
- First Nations heritage is required due to the Affirmative Measure.
The Team:
The First Nations Health team is part of the Strategy and Innovation portfolio, and reports to the Executive Director.
About You:
All applicants must have a strong background in project management and leadership, with experience working with Indigenous communities and stakeholders.
Working Conditions:
The position is based in Sydney CBD, with the ability to work from home two days a week.
