High Voltage Operations Specialist

We seek suitably qualified and experienced High Voltage (HV) Switching Operators/Electricians to support ongoing commissioning, energisation, and operational readiness of utility-scale solar installations.

This is a site-based role suited to applicants with a strong background in HV operations on solar farms or utility networks, possessing both a valid HV Switching Ticket and relevant electrical qualifications.

The successful candidate will perform HV switching operations as per approved switching sheets, procedures, and network operator requirements. They will also develop and review HV switching plans, isolation strategies, and associated documentation.

  • Perform HV switching operations safely and efficiently.
  • Develop and review HV switching plans and isolation strategies.
  • Coordinate with the Commissioning Manager, Control Room Operators, and network representatives to execute switching and energisation tasks.
  • Maintain detailed records of switching events, isolations, and energisation milestones.
Required Skills & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, applicants should possess:

  • A current HV Switching Ticket(Australian recognised)
  • Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g. NSW A Grade Electrical Licence)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a High Voltage Operator (HVO)
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing and executing HV switching programs and isolations
