We are seeking a suitably qualified physical oceanographer or climate scientist for a blended teaching and research role.
This position involves innovative teaching and learning practice, course development, outreach and engagement, and science communication.
The successful applicant will have a passion for teaching and scientific outreach & engagement, informed by an active research profile.
A strong track record in university teaching, research and service is also required.
Main Responsibilities:
- Teach and develop courses related to physical oceanography and climate science;
- Conduct research and publish findings in reputable journals;
- Engage with the community through outreach and science communication activities;
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in physical oceanography or climate science;
- Demonstrated experience in teaching and research at the university level;
- A strong publication record in reputable journals;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
