About the Role:

  • Location: Snowy Mountains region (Drive-In Drive-Out roles from Cooma, NSW – You must be prepared to travel to Cooma to commence your roster rotation)
  • Roster: 14 days on, 7 days off – rotating day and night shifts. Candidates must be flexible to work across a rotating 14:7 roster based out of Cooma, NSW.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage gatehouse operations and control access at construction sites.
  • Conduct regular site patrols, both on foot and in vehicles.
  • Oversee vehicle entry and exit, ensuring proper documentation and procedures.
  • Respond to alarms and on-site incidents with urgency and professionalism.
  • Accurately report and document incidents during shifts.
  • Proactively identify and report hazards, ensuring site safety and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Mandatory skills, licences/qualifications:
  • Current and valid NSW Security Licence
  • Current and valid First Aid Certificate
  • A valid and clean Driver's License and own vehicle
  • A clear Police Check within two months
  • Certificate II/III in Security Operations
  • NSW RSA (Responsible service of alcohol)
  • White Card
  • COVID Vaccination Certificate
  • Full, unlimited rights-to-work in Australia

Desirable Attributes:

  • Ability to work within a team
  • De-escalation and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to conduct foot and vehicle-mounted security patrols, and management of access control points for pedestrians and vehicles
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
  • High level of customer service skills
  • High level of personal presentation, conduct, dress and deportment
  • A high level of computer and administration skills are preferred
