About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Drainage Engineer to join our team in Melbourne. As a key member of our Bridges, Roads & Aviation team, you will play a critical role in enhancing our capabilities and reputation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake surface water drainage and cross drainage design for roads, rail, and civil projects
  • Develop and implement pavement and subsurface drainage design for roads and civil projects
  • Design and model water quality measures for roads and civil projects
  • Liaise with drafters for the production of design drawings
  • Prepare drainage design reports
  • Assist in developing less experienced engineers in a collaborative team environment
Requirements
  • Bachelor or Masters' level degree in Civil Engineering (four year degree)
  • Prior experience as a Senior Drainage Engineer (5+ years of experience)
  • Proven recent Australian experience in drainage design for major transport projects
  • CPEng or equivalent industry recognition
  • Rail Industry Worker accreditation (desirable)
About You

You will have a good understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic modelling packages used in the design of road drainage, cross drainage, and flood analysis, as well as ancillary drainage items such as scour protection and water quality control.

Proficiency in 12D for drainage design and analysis is highly desirable, and experience in packages such as HECRAS, MUSIC, and Tu Flow would be advantageous.
