Job Description
  • Provide seamless administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our community hub.
  • Coordinate venue bookings, events, activities, and programs, fostering a welcoming environment for all users.
  • Assist with purchasing orders, reconcile banking transactions, oversee hire arrangements, and manage correspondence for the centre.
About the Role

You will be working closely with the Manager – Child & Family Wellbeing, focusing on delivering high-quality customer service and administration support for the John McVeity Centre. This vibrant community hub offers opportunities for people to connect socially through sports, group fitness classes, venue hire, and various activities and programs.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • A genuine interest in helping others and a professional approachable manner.
  • Experience in administration and customer service, preferably in a community, sporting, or leisure centre setting.
  • Confidence using technology and systems, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Desirable qualifications include a Certificate in Community Services or Business Administration, or barista or basic retail experience.
  • Incumbents in this position are required to possess or be willing to obtain a National Criminal History Clearance as well as a DSCI Working with Children Check.
