Field Service Technician Role

About the Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and calibrating agricultural robotic systems at customer sites.

You will diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and software issues, providing hand-on and remote technical support to ensure continuous systems functionality. Additionally, you will offer comprehensive training to customers and farm staff on operating and maintaining robotics systems.

The successful candidate will collaborate with the engineering team to improve product reliability and serviceability, documenting all service activities and developing preventive maintenance plans. You will also maintain an organized inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables required for service activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and calibrate agricultural robotic systems at customer sites.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and software issues.
  • Provide hand-on and remote technical support to ensure continuous systems functionality.
  • Offer comprehensive training to customers and farm staff on operating and maintaining robotics systems.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to improve product reliability and serviceability.
  • Document all service activities and develop preventive maintenance plans.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables required for service activities.
  • Foster strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted technical advisor.
Qualifications:
  • Certification in robotics, mechatronics, engineering, or a related field.
  • Field experience, preferably in agriculture or robotics systems.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues.
  • Effective communication and customer service abilities.
  • Experience with automation systems, PLCs, and industrial control system is highly desirable.
  • Flexibility to travel internationally and work in diverse indoor and outdoor environments.
  • A valid driving license.
