About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Credit Manager to join our team at CommBank. As a key member of our Credit Card Portfolio team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing credit policies and procedures that drive business growth while minimizing risk.

As a Strategic Credit Manager, you will work closely with our Products, Credit Decisioning, Validations, and Change Delivery teams to ensure that our credit risk management strategies are aligned with our business objectives. You will use your analytical skills to review and improve our credit strategies, including initial credit limit assignment, automated decisioning rules, and in-life management strategies.

You will also be responsible for writing and presenting business strategy papers to senior stakeholders, as well as collaborating with our Consumer Finance product teams to structure appropriate credit solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement credit policies and procedures that drive business growth while minimizing risk
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of credit risk management strategies with business objectives
  • Use analytical skills to review and improve credit strategies, including initial credit limit assignment, automated decisioning rules, and in-life management strategies
  • Write and present business strategy papers to senior stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Consumer Finance product teams to structure appropriate credit solutions
Requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proven experience in credit risk management or a related field
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
