About the Role

The Credit Acquisition & Policy Manager is a critical position that plays a key role in driving our business forward. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing credit acquisition strategy and policy framework across the credit lifecycle.



Key Responsibilities

Some of your key responsibilities will include:




  • Building and enabling acquisition strategy for new and existing markets
  • Developing, maintaining, and continuously improving credit policies that align with our risk appetite and strategic objectives
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and that our credit procedures support our risk frameworks to drive sustainable growth, strengthen Member relationships, and protect our margins and profits
  • Minimizing exposure to bad debt and maintaining an acceptable level of risk


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:




  • Excellent people management skills with a proven track record of effective leadership
  • Demonstrate flexibility and ability to effectively deliver and manage change
  • Proven experience in effective credit risk management and lending policies, regulations, and procedures
  • Experience in various analytics tools such as SAS
  • Comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end lending process and experience in reading and interpreting financial reports and related searches
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial analysis, collateral valuation, appraisal procedures, and documentation
  • Well-developed negotiations skills and ability to analyse data
  • A keen desire and ability to review and implement process improvements and to establish a culture of continuous improvement
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to establish and manage positive relationships with staff, colleagues, key stakeholders, and Members
