The role of Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth and success in the Pet Nutrition ANZ business. Key responsibilities include identifying new market opportunities, nurturing supplier relationships, and implementing sales strategies to increase profitability and market share.
This position requires a strong business acumen and excellent communication skills to manage customer portfolios and support business development for assigned customers. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align business strategies and achieve targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement business development strategies to increase market share and profitability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and industry stakeholders.
- Monitor industry trends and stay up-to-date with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate sales and product strategic alignment between Principals, customers, and markets.
- Prepare persuasive sales presentations and proposals to build partnerships and contracts.
Requirements:
- Proven leadership skills with ability to coach, develop, mentor, and inspire.
- Strong commercial and business acumen with demonstrated strategic agility.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills – active listener and outstanding communicator.

Additional Information:
- Responsible for managing sales targets and forecasts and tracking performance metrics of suppliers and customer portfolios.

- Act as the key Principal contact, managing and building strong relationships with Principals and managing defined Principal portfolios.
