Job Overview

The Field Maintenance Supervisor is a crucial role in optimizing underground diamond drill fleet productivity by achieving mechanical availability targets and maintenance-related KPIs.

This position oversees field service personnel, providing direct and remote technical support for diagnosing and resolving issues. It also involves identifying training gaps and assisting with both direct and indirect training.

A key responsibility of this role is to develop strategies for maintaining site performance, managing the field service mechanical trades competency matrix, and auditing machinery to update rebuild schedules.

In addition, the candidate will create in-house documentation, including safety and technical service bulletins, work instructions, and procedures. They will participate in the Field Maintenance Forum and Maintenance Continual Improvement meetings with senior maintenance executives.

To be successful in this role, the candidate will require 6-8 years' experience in a similar position, established experience in underground drill maintenance, advanced hydraulic diagnosis and component knowledge, and relevant industry knowledge and experience in drilling practices.

The ideal candidate will possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, as well as proven capacity in a technical support role, including troubleshooting and diagnostics.
