Job Title

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Machinery Operator to join our team at the St Ives Gold Mine.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating surface mobile machinery to recover ore, and working to ensure targets are met safely and timely following operational standards.

This is a residential position based in Kambalda or Kalgoorlie, with a bus provided daily for those residing in Kalgoorlie.

About the Role
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive heavy machinery to haul loads and work collaboratively with team members to ensure ore loading & delivery is undertaken to plan.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of and commitment to all task instructions and procedures, and consistently adhere to these when carrying out operational tasks.
  • Support the efficient operation of the mining systems and processes by providing reliable and accurate operational knowledge and practical application to minimise downtime and potential loss of production.
  • Achieve production targets by applying knowledge operating equipment to undertake ore handling (loading, movement and unloading, understanding cycle times) activities in the most safe and efficient manner.
About You
  • Previous experience in Surface Mining operations operating dump trucks is essential.
  • Demonstrated high level of safety standards and work behaviour.
