Job Opportunity for a Strategic Policy ProfessionalJob DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and skilled policy professional to join our team as a Principal Policy Officer, Purchasing. This role will involve developing and operationalising the Purchasing Framework for NSW Health.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team in policy development and evaluation activities and projects for the Ministry of Health and related government agencies.
  • Provide sound information and advice on current and emerging health system purchasing policy issues to Senior Executives and key staff.
  • Plan, manage and monitor projects assigned to the team to ensure project outcomes are achieved.
Requirements
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of policies and legislation impacting on health system purchasing and performance.
  • Demonstrated skills and substantial experience in undertaking all stages of the policy cycle and provision of policy advice.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic and innovative project management.
  • Ability to analyse and use data to inform policy development and decision making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
