Senior Manager - Energy Policy Specialist

We're seeking a high-impact professional to drive the transition to a net-zero economy through bold strategy and evidence-based reform. This senior manager role will advise government bodies, regulators, and major corporates on strategic decisions that enable sustainable transformation.

About the Role

This is a dynamic opportunity to lead in the social sustainability and energy reform space. You'll work across complex transactions, corporate strategy, and strategic program governance, conducting comprehensive reviews of market structures and regulatory environments to identify opportunities for reform and innovation.

You'll drive the development and refinement of energy market frameworks through collaborative stakeholder engagement and strategic advisory. Your expertise in energy policy, market reform, and regulatory frameworks will be instrumental in shaping the future of energy regulation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and refine energy market frameworks through stakeholder engagement and strategic advisory
  • Evaluate proposed regulatory changes, including impact assessments and formal submissions
  • Conduct reviews of market structures and regulatory environments to identify opportunities for reform and innovation
  • Provide expert guidance on regulatory strategy, ensuring alignment with broader sustainability and economic objectives
  • Deliver high-level policy analysis and economic assessments to support decision-making across public and private sectors
  • Apply forward-thinking approaches to governance, compliance, and market design to contribute to the evolution of energy systems
Requirements
  • Proven experience in energy policy, regulatory reform, or market design
  • 5-10+ years' experience in energy consultancy background or market body policy/regulatory body
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across public and private sectors
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate complex analysis into actionable insights
  • Passion for sustainability and driving systemic change
