**Full Time Contract**: - ** 4 weeks on and off / 6 weeks on & off**: - ** Flights and accommodation provided** **General Practitioner Drug & Alcohol required to provide primary health care services to people in immigration detention in Yongah Hill, Northam WA** **The Role**: The Drug & Alcohol General Practitioner is a key member in the delivery of GP services to people in Immigration Detention in our facility in Yongah Hill, Northam WA. Some additional Duties below, - Assess, diagnose and treat clients in Immigration Detention in relation to drug and/or alcohol dependency. - Prescribe medications specific to the treatment of drug and/or alcohol addiction and provide ongoing evaluation of these clients. We are currently recruiting for a GP who is available to continuously do 4 weeks on & off. Flights and accommodation is provided. Full time hours 38 hours per week. Office hours. No on Call or night shifts **To be considered you must have**: - Full Unconditional AHPRA Registration - Primary Care experience essential with experience in rural/remote setting and/or emergency care highly desirable, alternatively we will consider a medical officer with an interest in remote work; - Fellowship of the RACGP or recognition as a General Practitioner - Experience with computerised medical records and medical practice systems is highly desirable - Experience with mental health management at a General Practitioner level. - Live in Australia or New Zealand and have work rights in Australia - ** Evidence of training and accreditation in prescribing for the treatment of opioid dependence or willing to obtain this course.**: - Current HLTAID002 - Basic Life Support Certificate (or willing to obtain) **The Company**: International Health and Medical Services (IHMS) provides healthcare for people currently in immigration detention throughout Australia.
