Collections Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Debt Recovery Professional to join our Collections team at Zip Co. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in building relationships with customers, supporting them through the repayment process, and ensuring that our company's policies and procedures are upheld.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing empathetic and professional support throughout the repayment process.
- Debt Recovery: Secure payment from customers while maintaining a customer-centric approach, ensuring that our company's policies and procedures are upheld.
- Administrative Duties: Perform all administrative tasks related to collections, including data entry, reporting, and record-keeping.
- Communication: Interact with customers on a daily basis, responding to queries in a timely and professional manner, and resolving customer complaints and issues.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Collections Team Leader and other team members to achieve team goals and objectives.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in a collections or customer-facing role, with a strong understanding of debt collection processes and procedures.
- Skills: Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with customers. Sound problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements, including ACCC debt guidelines and NCCPA.
