Collections Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Collections Specialist to join our team at Zip Co. As a Collections Specialist, you will play a critical role in building relationships with customers, supporting them through the repayment process, and ensuring timely resolution of outstanding debts.
Key Responsibilities- Manage early arrears portfolio end to end, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing losses
- Making suitable arrangements with customers as per our credit policy, providing flexible and fair solutions
- Monitoring financial hardship, variations, bankrupts, and defaults register, identifying opportunities for improvement
- Responding to inbound collections queries, providing clear and concise information to customers
- Following up on broken payment arrangements and renegotiating new arrangements, ensuring customer satisfaction
- Providing customers with solutions to their queries, resolving issues promptly and professionally
- Educating delinquent customers to prevent future arrears, promoting financial literacy and responsible borrowing
- Processing and managing incoming cheques, ensuring accurate and timely processing
- 12 months experience in an office or customer service environment, with a strong track record of collections or customer resolution
- Strong verbal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues
- The ability to effectively prioritize, manage deadlines, and understand new ideas and concepts quickly
- Outcome-focused, with a strong commitment to delivering results and meeting targets
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a focus on time management and efficiency
- Ability to understand business needs, consistently meet expectations, and respond promptly and professionally to business requests or enquiries
- Ability to work efficiently and autonomously, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Problem-solving, analytical, decision-making, and collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- KPI bonus available on a monthly basis, in addition to your salary package
