Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated individual to fill the role of Trainee Concrete Batcher. In this position, you will play a key part in the operation of our concrete plant.

Your responsibilities will include carrying out stocktaking of raw materials and other stocks, working with dispatch and drivers to achieve efficient starting, finishing, and meal & rest times for drivers, maintaining the yard, operating a Front End Loader to organise waste, organising and liaising with allocations regarding raw material deliveries, minor plant maintenance, operating the plant, balancing customers' needs and allocation of fleet through effective planning and decision making to ensure maximum fleet productivity, utilisation and efficiency, engaging with customers and responding to enquiries, managing and monitoring orders to ensure delivery and products meet quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out stocktaking of raw materials and other stocks
  • Work with dispatch and drivers to achieve efficient starting, finishing, and meal & rest times for drivers
  • Maintain the yard
  • Operate a Front End Loader to organise waste
  • Organise and liaise with allocations regarding raw material deliveries
  • Minor plant maintenance
  • Operate the plant
  • Balance customers' needs and allocation of fleet through effective planning and decision making to ensure maximum fleet productivity, utilisation and efficiency
  • Engage with customers and respond to enquiries
  • Manage and monitor orders to ensure delivery and products meet quality requirements
  • Be physically able to complete manual labour where required
  • Have mechanical knowledge
  • Work well with a small team
  • Be a team player who can multi-task and make quick effective decisions under pressure
  • Be a natural problem solver and enjoy planning and troubleshooting
