Electrical Operations Manager

Position Overview:
We are looking for a seasoned leader to oversee our Electrical & Electronics divisions in a dynamic workshop environment.
As the Business Unit Manager, you will lead a team of 2 direct reports and manage up to 35 indirect reports across two active bays.
In this role, you will report directly to the Operations Manager, focusing on delivering effective leadership while fulfilling our commitments to clients.
Your collaboration with on-site project management, engineering, sales, and supply chain teams will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the electrical and electronic sectors, all while surpassing customer expectations and meeting commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing manufacturing performance in alignment with operational budgets.
- Leading a team focused on quality quoting, estimating, and planning.
- Accountability for financial performance and business objectives.
- Managing risks, safety protocols, workforce efficiency, and productivity.
- Mentoring, training, and developing workshop staff.
- Contributing to business strategy and driving manufacturing and process enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Electrical trade certification or degree.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy manufacturing within a hazardous setting.
- Strong business acumen.
- Experience with underground mining equipment is a plus.
- At least 5 years of experience in people management and leadership.
- Experience in planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office and MRP systems; SAP knowledge is desirable.
